Red-White-Blue crown
45 cm x 12 cm high (the head size can be adjusted as desired with the ribbon)
Cut out a strip from the interfacing measuring 45 cm x 15 cm. Draw a line along the long edge, at a distance of 7.5 cm from the edge. At the top of this line, draw vertical lines spaced 4.5 cm apart from each other. In total, you should have 10 boxes drawn.
Draw a diagonal line from the center line to the top of the next line in the first box. From the top of this line, draw another diagonal line to the next line towards the center line. Repeat these lines until the end. You should now have 5 triangles viewed from the center line. Cut out these triangles.
Place the interfacing on the felt as shown in the photo, with the points against the edge of the felt, and iron them together.
Trim the felt visible at the crown points to 2 mm from the interfacing.
Fold the felt and the bottom of the interfacing in half so that the crown points align with the top of the other side of the felt. Pin this in place.
Sew along the sides and the points of the crown close to the edge. Trim any excess felt along the points.
Pin the wide ribbon onto the crown, positioning it 1 cm from the bottom edge of the felt. Ensure that there is an equal amount of ribbon protruding from both sides.
Sew the ribbon onto the crown. Then, sew the thin ribbon 0.5 cm above the wide ribbon. Use the gold-colored thread to make 5 pompoms and attach them to the points of the crown.
Place the crown on the head and tie the ribbons together at the back of the head.
