A sleeve flank, also known as mustaches, is a special type of padding used in cloberts, jackets and coats to make the head of the sleeve nicely rounded.

The sleeve side is sewn between the lining and the fabric. There is a small hole in the middle of the sleeve. This is exactly the place where the shoulder seam of the garment should be and therefore a target point where the sleeve side is sewn. The sleeve flank consists of a left and a right side
