Work description
1. Before you start!
Download the pattern here and crochet all the elements according to the instructions.
You should have:
5 Flowers A, 10 Flowers B, 8 Flowers C, 6 Flowers D, 3 small stems, 3 big stems, 1 Bow
2. Preparing the canvas
After completing all the elements, take the linen canvas and place a pin in it to mark its center.
Using the photos as a guide, you will position and sew (or glue if you prefer) each element.
3a. Sewing elements
Place the stems below the mark at 1/1.5 cm. (It’s much easier if you pin them in place), sew them.
3B. Sewing elements
Place the bow over the stems and sew it.
3C. Sewing elements
Place flowers C above the knot and sew them.
3D. Sewing elements
Place flowers B around flowers C and sew them.
3E. Sewing elements
Place flowers D below the bouquet and about 2 cm from the edge of the inner hoop. (Tip: place the hoop under your canvas to check the distance to the edge and the curve to follow.)
3F. Sewing elements
Place flowers A above the bouquet and about 2 cm from the edge of the inner hoop. (Tip: Place the hoop underneath your canvas to check the distance to the edge and the curve to follow.)
4. Tighten the fabric.
Place the inner hoop on the wrong side of the finished piece, sew a basting stitch 2cm from the edge of the support, pull the thread to envelop the wooden hoop and tighten the fabric.
5. Position the outer hoop.
Position the outer hoop and tighten the screw.
6. Cover the back.
With the cardboard previously cut into a circle, cover the back of the hoop by gluing the cardboard on top.
